September 21st, 2016

HOPE for Our Future-03

On National Voter Registration Day, September 27, HOPE will join several local organizations and student groups across the Mid South to register people to vote during the HOPE for our Future Voter Registration Drive. National Voter Registration Day (NVRD) is a nationwide, nonpartisan effort to register people to vote. Voting is a fundamental right and privilege for Americans; however, thousands of American citizens fail to register to vote. In, 2012, just 71.2 percent of voting-age citizens were registered to vote in the presidential election.

The table below provides a snapshot of the registration and voting statistics in the Mid South states.
