HOPE — Hope Enterprise Corporation and Hope Credit Union — has retired the Mississippi Economic Policy Center brand and relaunched it as the Hope Policy Institute.

The creation of the Hope Policy Institute is designed to recognize the historical and ongoing importance of policy work in the attainment of HOPE’s mission, which is to influence public policy and private institutions to allocate resources that will enable all people in the nation’s mid-South to prosper.

Like MEPC, Hope Policy Institute will continue to be a source of data-driven analysis of issues related to financial inclusion, budget and tax matters, health care, education and economic security in Mississippi. It will also engage in policy advocacy throughout the mid-South states and at the federal level.
