Education & Workforce Development
An educational and workforce system that ensures every individual has the chance to succeed is the key to broadening opportunity as well as to providing the Mid South with the skilled, productive workforce necessary to drive long-term economic growth. The Hope Policy Institute advocates for increased investment in the early education, K-12 and post-secondary systems region-wide. It also partners with workforce development stakeholders to advance opportunities for low-income and low-skilled adults to access training in sectors that offer a career pathway accompanied by good wages and benefits.
As a lender, HOPE has a long track record in providing loans to child care centers that provide early childhood education. HOPE’s experience as a lender to these segments of the education infrastructure positions the organization to have a unique and valuable perspective on education policy issues as debates unfold across the region.
