Advancing Mississippi’s Healthcare Workforce
December 1st, 2012
In Mississippi, the condition of the state’s healthcare industry shapes the medical care available to residents and employment opportunities for thousands of members of the state’s workforce.
A new policy brief, Advancing Mississippi’s Healthcare Workforce, details ways to connect more adults with training in the healthcare field and move entry-level healthcare workers up a career ladder to greater skills and higher wages. The piece builds on MEPC’s previous briefs on sector strategies and is informed by the work of the Delta Workforce Funding Collaborative.
