MEPC Releases Updated Taxpayer’s Guide to the Mississippi Budget

The Legislature and the Governor make spending decisions, but Mississippians also have an important role in the budget process.

They have the responsibility to ensure that the state budget meets the collective needs and reflects the combined values of all our state’s people.

In September, the Mississippi Economic Policy Center (MEPC) will release a new report to help you better understand the budget process and tax system– just in time for the budget hearings that start next month.
